How to copy part of a pdf document

There are several ways to copy content fragments of a pdf file. For example, you can select the contents of a file with the mouse, right-click on it, and select the “Copy” item in the context menu. However, this method does not always work as it should. In particular, this method cannot copy a separate element of a picture or a fragment of text with a picture located in the middle of a sheet.
In Adobe Reader, you can use the “Take a Snapshot” function to copy such pieces of text.

  1. In the Adobe Reader main menu, open the “Edit” section and select the “Take a Snapshot” item.Take a picture PDF
  2. Select the desired document fragment with the mouse.
  3. In the appeared window with the information that the selected area is copied, click “OK”. The selected fragment will be placed on the clipboard.
  4. Place the cursor in the place of the document where the fragment will be placed, and paste it from the clipboard.

The text copied in this way cannot be edited, since it is inserted as an image, but more often it doesn’t matter.

Often, users find it difficult to exit the “Take a Snapshot” mode. In fact, it is very easy to get out of this mode – just press the “Selection tool for text and images” button in the main menu of Adobe Reader or click on the button in the form of an open palm to navigate through the document. Automatic scrolling of pages in Adobe Reader

You can scroll a pdf document by using the mouse wheel or by pressing the corresponding buttons on the keyboard. However, in Adobe Reader there is another very convenient way of page turning – this is an automatic scrolling function. When used, its document content automatically moves at a certain speed from top to bottom (or bottom to top).

In this case, there is no need to use a keyboard or mouse to move between pages. This method is convenient to use when reading books, in order not to turn the pages in the process of reading. The speed of the text can be set independently.

In order to set up automatic scrolling of PDF document pages, select “View” in the Adobe Reader main menu. In the menu that opens, select the “Page Display” section, and in it click the “Automatically Scroll” item. Auto Scroll PDF
The scrolling speed can be changed by pressing the number keys on the keyboard from 0 to 9. You can stop the scrolling by pressing the Esc key. Repeatedly, the automatic scrolling mode can be set via the menu, as described above, or by simultaneously pressing the Schift+Ctrl+H keys. The scroll direction can be changed by pressing the (-) button.
